How to copy a template
Request a copy of a free Google Sites template
How to get one of my templates
The only way to get one of my free templates is for me to give you access to a Google site that uses that theme. You then copy the whole website (pages, templates, themes) into your Google account and bingo - a ready made website.
Here's how you copy a Google Site, and here's how you can import a theme from a Google Site.
You will need a Google account. Repeat, you will need a Google account.
Google Sites only works if you have a Google account like Gmail. This is because the actual Google Site website lives in your Google Drive. If you don't have a Google account one you can create one for free at https://accounts.google.com.
If I had a penny for every time someone requests a template from a non Google account ....
Find the template you like
This step is a bit obvious really. Have a mooch at the free templates gallery and find the one which best suits your taste. Click on the View live demo button to see a real version of the website. Then read my terms of use and make sure you're okay with them.
2. Click the Get this template → link
Each demo template site has a Get this template → link in the menu bar. Clicking this link will take you to a form where you can request access. Just enter a few details and the request will come through to me.
3. Some magic happens
When you've sumitted the form you'll get a notification email giving you access to a read-only copy of the website. You will need to make a copy of the website into your own Google drive.
That's it. Simple eh?
I put a lot of effort into creating free templates for Google Sites and making them available. It would really help me out if you can let me know how you find my site, and provide any feedback on the templates or how you've used them. You can also find me on Twitter and Instagram.
Thank you, and good luck with your project!
